Re: Parental Consent for London Trip to Houses of Parliament

Dear Families,

As part of our provision for the personal development of our students, we are excited to offer your child the opportunity to participate in our upcoming educational trip to London, which includes not only a tour of the Houses of Parliament but also visits to some of the city's most iconic landmarks and attractions.

Students will engage in a dynamic workshop designed to demonstrate the legislative process. Led by knowledgeable facilitators, this workshop will teach students how laws are conceived, debated, and enacted, from their inception in the House of Commons to their scrutiny in the House of Lords.

In addition to gaining insight into the legislative process through a guided tour of the Houses of Parliament, students will have the chance to explore and appreciate the rich cultural heritage of London. Our itinerary encompasses visits to several famous landmarks, providing students with a comprehensive experience of this vibrant city.

We kindly ask that students bring either food for the evening meal or money to purchase food from the service station during the stop. Students are also allowed to bring a sensible amount of money for snacks and/or souvenirs if these are available. All money and belongings are the responsibility of the student and cannot be given to staff.

Please complete and sign the attached consent form, indicating your approval for your child to participate in the London trip.

Places on this trip are extremely limited, and so we ask that consent forms are returned by Friday April 26th 2024.

Students should attend the trip in full academy uniform.
