First Story Anthology Book Launch: Celebrating Student Voice

This week, Co-op Academy Belle Vue proudly hosted the launch of our First Story anthology, The Museum of Me, a collection of student-written work created during last year’s enrichment sessions. Held in the library, the event was a true celebration of creativity and expression, showcasing the voices of our talented young writers.

The afternoon was filled with inspiring moments as students read selections from their anthology, each piece reflecting their unique experiences, perspectives, and dreams. Guests were captivated by the honesty and imagination in each reading, and many students eagerly signed copies of the anthology, adding a personal touch for their friends, family, and supporters.

We were honoured to have poet Reece Williams, our writer-in-residence last year, join the celebration. Reece played an instrumental role in guiding our students through their writing journey, encouraging them to find and refine their voices. His presence at the launch underscored the strong, creative partnership that made this anthology possible.

Congratulations to all our student authors! This anthology will stand as a reminder of their hard work, ambition, and the power of their voices in our community.
