Mr Holt Letter - Examination Guide to Standards and Expectations
The exam expectation and standards set out below are designed to make sure the rules set out by the JCQ (Joint Council for Qualifications) are followed. The JCQ set out all the rules that apply to every examination run in the UK. Not following these can have serious consequences for students and for school, including disqualification from a paper, subject or all GCSE examinations. We apply the same rules to our internal exams to make sure that students get used to these.
People in the room during an exam are called invigilators. They are there to run the exam and make sure all the rules are followed. They can help if you are unsure about anything but cannot help with the questions in the exam.
