Students at Co-op Academy Belle Vue could soon benefit even more from an exciting partnership with professional basketball team Manchester Basketball, as key player Marcus Delpeche is set to visit the academy on Tuesday, 4th February.

Delpeche will meet with Mr Hafekost to explore opportunities for mentoring students and developing links between the academy and the club. The discussions will also include the possibility of students gaining work experience with Manchester Basketball, offering them a unique insight into the world of professional sport.

This potential collaboration builds on the existing relationship between the school and the team. Thanks to a fantastic initiative, students can already earn free tickets to Manchester Basketball games at the National Basketball Performance Centre in Belle Vue. These tickets are purchased using care points, which students receive for demonstrating positive behaviour.

If the partnership is confirmed, it could provide an incredible opportunity for students to learn from professional athletes, develop leadership skills, and explore career pathways in sport.
